Once in a while I am lucky enough to stumble upon handmade or custom made vintage items. The work and patience it takes to make something handmade or custom made is something that many apparel brands do not value. It seems like everything has to happen right now whatever the cost. However, I do feel like there is a rebirth of handmade like with the etsy site and most local designers. Above is a 1970s handmade pair of wood and leather sandals made in Italy. Below is a 1950s handpainted pink flower summer dress made in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Both summer items yes, but I figure we need a little reminder of warmth today.
